Judith Elliott, LPC, graduated from Marymount University with  a Masters Degree in Counseling. She has 12 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples and groups. Her prior experience includes the Whitman-Walker Clinic, home-based therapy and private practice.

Judi's approach to treatment is to help her clients develop a cognitive awareness of the patterns of thinking and feeling which affect their behavior. She helps them recognize that the ability to change requires the acceptance of their feelings, thoughts and memories and the realization that the past is not their enemy.  Mindfulness and compassion then become partners in change and new behaviors can begin to emerge. Through mindfulness they gain the ability to handle fear, anger, depression and anxiety and the improvement of life skills. This also results in a better understanding of goals and values and the ability to attain them.

Judith's engaging clinical style and approach to treatment is indeed an asset and greatly benefits the clients she serves.
